How Does NCOALink Work?

NCOALink Address Updates

When the name and address on a mailing list match the name and old address in the NCOA (National Change of Address) database, the system returns the updated address for moves made within the past 18 months.

Additional Move Information with ANKLink

In addition, ANKLink™, or Address Not Known, adds another 30 months of change-of-address information. While ANKLink™ does not return the new address, it does identify moves made during months 19–48. It also provides the move effective date, return code, and match type.

Secure Hosting and Easy Integration

Both the NCOALink™ and ANKLink™ data are hosted on SmartSoftDQ’s secure servers. As a result, there are no monthly updates or separate datasets to install.

In addition, the NCOALink solution can be added to existing address-dependent applications or used as a standalone tool. It also works with most development languages or can run through packaged .exe files directly. Supported languages include .NET, COM, and Straight C.
